Union District's four-year plan will build the success of the previous with the goal of creating sustainable growth, foster unity, and deepen collaboration within the Union District Baptist Association.
This plan combines relationship-building, accessible programming, financial support, and collective mission work to establish a solid foundation for the future of the district.
To the Union District Baptist Association Family
I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As I humbly embark upon this journey as Moderator of the Union District Baptist Association, I am deeply honored and grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me. To the member churches, officers, and the cabinet members who faithfully served, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your support and dedication to the work of this association. I do not take for granted this grand opportunity to lead, and I am committed to doing so with integrity and transparency. Together, we will strive to make a lasting difference within our communities and our churches, strengthening one another through fellowship, Christian Education, worship, and the fulfillment of our purpose in evangelism, home missions, and foreign missions.
I acknowledge and honor the great legacy of the Union District Baptist Association and the visionary leaders who paved the way for us. I stand on the shoulders of giants, including the late Dr. Marine Webb Williams, the late Dr. William Easter, the late Dr. J.E. Booker, and our immediate past moderator, Dr. Dwight D. Townsend Sr. These leaders accomplished great work, and their faithfulness inspires us to continue the mission. While we celebrate our past accomplishments, we recognize that there is still great work to be done.
As your Moderator, I am fully aware that I cannot achieve this work alone. I need your help, your prayers, and your partnership. Together, united in purpose and guided by the Holy Spirit, we can accomplish much for the Glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom. Let us move forward with a renewed commitment to strengthen our District Association, expand our ministries, and bring the hope of the gospel to the world. May God bless each of you and the Union District Baptist Association as we continue this journey together.
Lastly, I want to thank my wife who has been right by my side every step of the way. Her unwavering love, encouragement, and prayers have been my constant source of strength, and selfless sacrifices have allowed me to wholeheartedly dedicate myself to the work of the Lord. Truly, her partnership in this journey rejects God’s grace in my life, and I am blessed beyond measure to have her as my greatest supporter and companion.
